More than 3500 attendees, including lotus farmers, representatives from blockchain enterprises, business leaders from across the province and beyond, white lotus industry experts, local residents, and tourists, gathered for the opening gala to witness this annual celebration of the white lotus industry.
The opening ceremony features three segments: "Eternal Lotus Rhyme," "Red Soul Forging the City," and "New Journey, Prosperous Era." It includes a diverse array of performances—song and dance, intangible cultural heritage opera, acrobatics, and情景剧 (situation drama)—alongside live dialogues between white lotus industry entrepreneurs and scientists. This vividly showcases Guangchang's millennium-old lotus culture, its passionate revolutionary legacy, and dynamic industrial vitality.
Ganchang has a history of lotus cultivation spanning over 1300 years. The county maintains a stable white lotus planting area of 11 mu, with a brand value reaching 33.07 billion yuan, making it the core production hub for "Jiangnan Lotus." This year's Lotus Tourism and Culture Festival features a "1-opening ceremony + 6 major thematic events" lineup, weaving together the unique charm of lotus flavors, tourism, customs, techniques, innovation, and aesthetics.
