Sichuan Aba: Intangible Cultural Heritage Industry Grows in the Mountains
Since opening in 2013, this 4A scenic area, centered on Qiang culture, has been staging a daily opening ceremony. Programs such as the sheepskin drum dance, Salang, and polyphonic folk songs create a model featuring "intangible cultural heritage practitioners performing on-site, local Qiang residents participating, and visitors engaging in deep experiences," earning warm reception from tourists.

The "15th Five-Year Plan" outlines the need to "build a more effective international communication system" and "promote global, regional, and targeted expression of China's stories and voices." Telling China's stories well, amplifying its voice, and advancing global, regional, and segmented communication are key measures to accelerate the development of China's discourse and narrative systems while enhancing international communication effectiveness. Global expression aims to integrate Chinese narratives into the international arena and expand their influence; regional expression focuses on adapting narratives to diverse historical experiences and social contexts across different areas; and targeted expression addresses how content reaches specific audiences and fosters meaningful consensus. Together, these three approaches correspond to distinct layers of international communication, seamlessly interlinked and organically unified, forming a complete communication chain that spans broad coverage, contextual adaptation, and precise engagement.
