Artist "Cloud Dialogue": Rodin Museum Exhibits to Depart Shanghai

SHANGHAI, China, 10 18 (Xinhua) – Six sculptures from the Rodin Museum in France, on display for over two years at the Rodin Art Center, held their final public exhibition day today.

Today, the Rodin Art Center hosted a dialogue titled "Farewell, The Thinker," digitally bidding farewell to six sculptural exhibits. Shanghai Muyunji Academy's WeChat Video Channel "Muyunji Blackstone" streamed the event live.

The exhibition "Rodin: The Genesis and Evolution of Modern Sculpture" opened on 2024, Month 9, Day 27, featuring over 100 works—including sculptures, paintings, and videos—to trace the artistic journey of French sculptural master Auguste Rodin.

Rodin is hailed as the "Father of Modern Sculpture." This exhibition showcases a series of displays highlighting Rodin's profound influence on the art of world sculpture.

At the "Cloud Farewell," Wu Jing, founder of the Rodin Art Center, and Yan Zhilong, a doctoral supervisor at the Shanghai Theatre Academy, shared insights on the deeper meaning behind the works and the behind-the-scenes story of their exhibition in China.

Two guests engage in a dialogue, sharing behind-the-scenes details and bringing the sculptures about to bid farewell to Shanghai to life through an engaging Q&A.
