On 10 18, a unique event blending light and shadow titled "Morning Flowers Plucked at Dusk: A Reading of Lu Xun's Works" was held at Guanghua Hall, China Publishing Group, to commemorate the 145th anniversary of Lu Xun's birth, the 90th anniversary of his death, and the 100th anniversary of the creation of "Morning Flowers Plucked at Dusk."

The Reading and Appreciation Event is hosted by the China Writers Association and the China Publishing Group, and organized by People's Literature Publishing House and "Literary Gazette". Since publishing "The Complete Works of Lu Xun" in 1958, People's Literature Publishing House has continuously revised, maintained, and reissued Lu Xun's works over the past six decades. Zang Yongqing, Member of the Party Leadership Group of the China Publishing Group and Deputy General Manager of China Publishing & Media Co., Ltd., stated that Lu Xun's works—including "Call to Arms," "Wandering," "Wild Grass," "Dawn Blossoms Plucked at Dusk," "New Tales from Old Times," as well as numerous essays and academic writings—have become timeless classics. Characters such as Runtu, Ah Q, Kong Yiji, and Xianglin's Wife depicted by Lu Xun have entered the collective memory of the Chinese people. "The Complete Works of Lu Xun" serves as the foundation and crown jewel of People's Literature Publishing House.

He reflected on the deep connection between the Humanities and Social Sciences Press (HSSP) and Lu Xun's works: In 1950, Feng Xuefeng was tasked with overseeing the editing of Lu Xun's writings; after HSSP was established in 1951, he became its first president. In 1958, HSSP published the first annotated complete edition of Lu Xun's works in New China. Since then, two major revisions have been completed in 1981 and 2005, and a new round of revision is currently underway. Today, HSSP has built a multi-level, multi-format publishing system centered on the Complete Works of Lu Xun, making it an indispensable resource for readers seeking to understand Lu Xun.
